Wolf game payout calculator
Wolf scoring lives in the points — lone wolf triples, blind wolf quadruples. Track points during the round however your group plays it, then settle here.
How it works
Wolf is scored in points during the round, then settled like skins: every point a player earns is paid by each other player.
Scoring Wolf (the standard version)
The tee order rotates so each player is the Wolf every fourth hole (the Wolf tees off last on 17 and 18 in most groups, or order re-randomizes). After each opponent's tee shot, the Wolf may claim that player as a partner — or pass, and after seeing all three, go Lone Wolf. Standard points: winning as a partnership, 1 point each; losing partnership pays the same. Lone Wolf wins earn 2–3 points from each player (3× is common); a losing Lone Wolf pays each player. A Blind Wolf — declaring before anyone tees off — typically doubles the lone multiplier. Whatever multipliers your group uses, record the resulting points per hole and this settles it.
FAQ
How does the Wolf pick a partner?
In tee order, the Wolf must accept or reject each player immediately after that player's drive — no waiting to compare. If the Wolf rejects all three, they're Lone Wolf against the field for that hole.
How many points is Lone Wolf worth?
Most groups play 3 points from each opponent for a Lone Wolf win, and the Wolf pays each opponent if they lose. Blind Wolf (declared before any drives) usually doubles it.
Who is the Wolf on holes 17 and 18?
Common rule: the player furthest down in points gets to be Wolf on the last two holes — the comeback mechanism that keeps the game alive. Other groups just continue the rotation.
Can Wolf be played with 3 or 5 players?
Yes. With three, the Wolf either takes one partner (2v1) or goes alone; with five, one player sits out the hole's action or the group plays 2v3 with adjusted points. The settlement math is identical.
