About ShotTally

ShotTally is a set of free golf calculators and a scorecard scanner built on a simple standard: every tool shows the formula it uses, states its assumptions, and includes a worked example you can check by hand. No black boxes.

Where the numbers come from

The distance and launch models are fit to published launch monitor averages (Trackman, Foresight, and PING optimization data) and validated against real simulator session data. The betting game calculators implement the standard settlement math for each format, with the common rule variants documented on each page.

What these tools are not

Estimates for planning, practice, and settling friendly wagers — not official handicap computations, club fittings, or gambling advice. For an official handicap, use your national association's system. For a fitting, see a fitter with a launch monitor. ShotTally is not affiliated with the USGA or The R&A.

Corrections

Spot a formula that's off? The whole point of showing the math is that it can be checked. Corrections are welcome and get fixed fast.
